Big tech, big losses. The planet’s technology billionaires had another rough year, declining in both number and collective wealth on Forbes’ 2023 ranking of the world’s wealthiest people. In all, Forbes found 313 billionaires who made their fortune in technology, compared to 332 last year. Their aggregate net worth is $1.9 trillion, down $200 billion from last year’s $2.1 trillion.
The lower numbers reflect a cooling tech market that’s correcting itself after a sky-high peak in 2021, when Forbes found 365 technology billionaires worth $2.5 trillion, the highest ever. The technology sector has proven not to be immune from broad worries about inflation, rising interest rates and fears of recession—not to mention a government crackdown on tech moguls in China.
No one has lost more than Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who is $57 billion poorer than a year ago, thanks to a 38% plummet in the e-commerce giant’s stock. Amazon, which hired rapidly during the pandemic, is now reversing some of that growth with 27,000 layoffs announced in early 2023. His ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott—who got a quarter of Bezos’ shares in their 2019 divorce and who has been giving money away at a record pace—is down big too, by $19.2 billion.

Article Marketing Success: Useful Tips And Tricks
If you need to boost your business, you need to get more visitor traffic to your site. One really effective way to do this is through article marketing. This article can help you revive your business through article marketing.
The key to creating great content is to solve a problem for the reader. Identify a problem associated with your niche and several ways to solve it. Once you have done the research simply put it together in a short post. Be friendly in tone and to the point. Your readers will come back for more.
Keep your content easily accessible no matter how long ago that it was written. Include trackbacks in your current articles to related items from years ago. This will help you both in search rankings and in click throughs. If you can get someone interested enough to keep clicking through to different pages on your site, you’re on your way to having a repeat visitor.
Write interesting description tags. The more intriguing these are, the more likely you will attract readers to you. These little descriptive markers are what shows up when someone searches for you on a search engine, so the more descriptive you can be in a few short words, the better.
Consider paying others to do your article marketing once you’re off to a good start. This makes it possible to market in volume. Services like Amazon Mechanical Turk make it easy to commission thousands of high quality articles and have them done within a matter of days. Just remember to pre-qualify your workers, or else you’ll be drowned in spam.
Make sure each article you write has unique and original content. A reader should not be able to search for a similar topic and come up with a word for word copy of your supposedly original article. Provide your own insights and personal ideas and clearly express them throughout your writing.
Be a seamless streamer. Every article should have a call to action at the end of it, but many times they are far too obvious. Your article should flow directly into the call to action without your readers ever realizing it is happening. Practice doing this until it becomes natural for you.
Be personable and friendly in everything you do. Throughout your article, you should always allow your personality to shine through, but do not forget to do this in other forms of communication as well. You should always have the same styles for articles, blog descriptions, comments, emails, and anything else involving another person.
If you are just starting out, choose only one article directory to work with. Look through each of the article directory databases to find out which one would suit you best, and work towards familiarizing yourself. Only using one directory will help you learn the ropes before you dive headfirst into the field.
As you gain confidence with the article marketing process, set a realistic but challenging goal for your pace of article production. There is no golden figure that you must achieve. Balance your available time, your writing prowess and your other commitments to settle on a article-writing schedule you can maintain without sacrificing article quality.
When writing an article, make sure you are aware of the word count required. A well-written article may not be accepted because there are not enough words. If there is no way for you to know how many words you have written, there are always word counters online.
To find new blogs and sites where you post your content, just contact them directly and ask. If you find a sports blog, for example, you can contact them and mention that you’ll write a great article for their site if they allow you (and you only) to link to your site in the author bio or title line. This is a good way to increase your web presence.
There are many different ways to target your traffic in article marketing, and you should be willing to try them all at least once. See what kind of responses you get for different tactics you try. Then you can build your ultimate campaign around what works well and you can get rid of what doesn’t work at all.
Avoid wordplay if you want to effectively target your audience through article marketing. Sure, you can make things enjoyable to read, but you do not want any confusion as to what you’re trying to convey.
When publishing articles on external websites, use the resource box at the bottom of the article to your advantage. Tell readers about you and what it is you can do for them. Increase your credibility as an expert, build additional backlinks to your site, and get exposure for your name. If links are allowed, use keywords in the anchor text that point to the landing pages on your site.
Make sure that your article fits with the title you have provided for the piece. Nothing is more frustrating to a customer than when they are searching for information and they wind up on a page that has nothing to do with what they need. Keep everything relevant, and you will keep your customers happy.
Generate content for advertisements and articles, by requesting interviews with respected individuals who are familiar with your industry. With their permission, convert the interview into an article formal that can be submitted to online publications or published to your own website. For added impact, make the piece a regular feature and include a rotating cast of experts and professionals, who can attest to your brand’s quality.
A way to better one’s article marketing is by remaining on topic and proving informational material for the consumers to read and take in. Articles that are succinct, but still full of information for the consumers, are better as they will not scare people away with their length or bore them to death.
As you can see, article marketing is a great way to grow your business. Consistently use what you can in your strategy to help boost your traffic.
